Nothing is Impossible

I don't have much to write today.  I am dwelling on the following verses as I face some extremely difficult circumstances in my personal life.  Since the Word of God is always quick and powerful, always timely, I just wanted to share these verses with you today in the hopes that someone else out there needs to be reminded of these truths.

26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?”
27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

-- Mark 10:26-29

20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.Nothing will be impossible for you.” [21] [a]

-- Matthew 17:20-21

  1. Amen! Truly nothing is impossible with God. He has made the lame to walk, the deaf to hear, the blind to see, the dead to life, brought children to the baren, love to the hurting, hope to the forsaken, salvation to the lost, food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, peace to the troubled, purity to the defiled, faith to the doubter, family to the orphan, strength to the weak, courage to the fearful, and joy to the despondent. In all things we can have faith that he can heal and repair. In all things we have faith that he cares for us. We can have faith that even in our times of trouble, sadness, and need, he hears us, loves us, holds us, teaches us, and works together all things for his good. We should never cease praying to him our requests, our thankfulness, our adoration, our worship, and for his will to be done. He delights in the prayers of the righteous. We are called righteous who are in his name, who call him LORD. :-)

  3. @Joe: Yes! Nothing is impossible with God. So grateful! Thanks for posting! Great points.

@Mrs. Pedersen: I know! It's a great reminder, especially because so often, I feel my faith really is just as teeny tiny as a mustard seed! No bigger! :) Thanks for stopping in!
