I Feel I Have Been Away Forever . . . .

Hello friends!

I apologize now and ahead of time for the fact I have often been--may often be--absent from my blog nowadays.  My life has taken on new aspects and the accompanying "fuller than full" schedule and life.  And yet, I do not forget my dear online friends and the blogs I like to follow and I will check in and will write my own posts -- I love writing!  How could I not blog still?

I hope you are all doing splendidly!  I for one am thrilled that the weather is about to start becoming milder and more like fall . . . .I celebrated by enjoying my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of this autumn season at Starbucks last week!  Can we say dee-lish?  Oh yes!  I love all things pumpkin and it just smells and tastes like autumn!

Also, I have post quite a few new photos on my quilt site, so please, check those out!  They are of a new blanket I was asked to design/create/personalize as a gift for someone and their newborn son.  It turned out ADORABLE if I might say so . . . . and I'm grateful and pleased to say, the blanket is a big hit with the recipients!  :-)   You can see the new photos here: Hoppy Hoppy XL Receiving Blanket

Hello Friends!

I am thinking about those friends and associates of mine who blog and just wanted to say hello to them all!  And invite anyone and everyone who wants to read my blog and become my "follower" to please, do so and soon!  I feel "lonely" over here all by myself, otherwise!  LOL

I realize my blog is simple.  Basic.  But it's what I can do and what I know how to do. Besides, I figure sharing your thoughts and impressions in simplistic form is just as important as sharing them on a fancy webpage!  Not that I don't like fancy details because I do!  However, I also appreciate simplicity.  Thus, my simple blog.

The Smell of Rain . . . .

I am an awful blogger, I know.  I guess I just haven't yet gotten the hang of blogging a couple times a week or more, yet.  Not that I don't want to!

Well, on to more pleasant topics. :-)  The Smell of Rain. Yes, that is a pleasant topic. When it smells earthy, almost so real you could touch it.  I love the smell of rain.  I'm smelling it right now, though my nose is still stuffed up from a dreadful head cold!  It started with a cool, refreshing breeze blowing about outside this morning. And now, it's raining outside.  Rather heavily, in fact.  I can hear the symphony inside, as I type this.  Beautiful.  One of the prettiest and most fragrant symphonies ever.  I love it! Can you tell?
